Low Budget Horror Flick Creeps its Way to Korea

PARANORMAL ACTIVTY

Directed by: Oren Peli

Starring: Katie Featherston, Micah Sloat

Release Date: Thursday January 14 (in theaters everywhere)

“Paranormal Activity” is one of independent cinema’s greatest success stories. Made for a measly $ 11,000, the film earned itself a wide-release in America thanks to a viral word-of-mouth campaign, and went on to gross more than $ 100 million worldwide. And now, the low-budget horror flick creeps its way to Korea. Let’s just hope it’s as good as its marketing.

  1. Robert E Kelly Says:

I saw the trailer. It looks awfully creepy. Please let us know where you find it playing in Busan. I have no idea.

Also, you have not commented on the David Lean film festival at the Pusan Cinematheque. I caught “Lawrence of Arabia” there last week. Unfortunately, the quality of the print was was mediocre at best. But that sorta adds to the old-time feel of watching these classics I suppose…

  2. Jacob Worrel Says:

i’m outside the country now but last time i checked ‘paranormal activity’
was playing in most major theatres – cgv, cinus, lotte…
    it’s really good.
i forgot to post about the david lean retrospective since i’m gonna miss it entirely. after lean it’s all billy wilder – i’ll post something about it when i get back.
